DG-DURION-ER03 - High Performance Dual 5G Train/Bus Router

The DURION-ER03 is a high performance stand-alone Multi-Uplink 5G EDGE Vehicle Gateway Router with a dedicated LINUX application processor capable of independently executing Client Services. The Core Router bases on a NXP Layerscape LS1046A networking processor with a dedicated WRT Router OS. This device combines the functions of an EDGE gateway computer with a HW accelerated dedicated WRT router core, which directly manages the Dual 5G modems. Separate processors are used for application software and the WRT Linux router to improve performance and enable easier software development. The application processor directly connects to the core router with an internal Ethernet interface. This enables independent upgrading of application layer software services without the need to touch the Layer 3 routing core software.

The small footprint DURION-ER03 is ideal for upgrade programs due to its small size and support for project specific firmware adaptations. Vehcile location is based on an IMU supported high sensitivity UDR or ADR supported GNSS subsystem. In ADR mode, the accjurate speed and direction information is extracted from the vehicle bus. The Dual 5G modems are based on the latest Qualcomm SDX65 chipset, which supports 2x2 or 4x4 UL and DL MIMO using n40 and n78 bands. Standard RJ45 connectors are used for the External Gbit Ethernet interfaces complimented by two SFP+ sockets, which can support 10Gbit copper or fiber interface or 1000Base-T1. The router features a soldered down GNSS subsystem with UDR/ADR support for installation cases where limited satellite coverage is available. The positioning subsystem can reliably navigate underground or in poor satellite signal conditions assisted by the IMU based sensor data. A separate 3D accelerometer is available for driver performance monitoring.

Suitable rooftop antenns are available with 2x2 MIMO 5G and GNSS, 5m cables and FAKRA connectors.
